面對部落工作站資訊管理的挑戰~Help the workstation of the aboriginal village to manage their information system
部落工作站一景 ( Workstation of the Village)部落工作站已經好多次都說電腦壞了、電腦中毒了，對外聯絡、報表、網站更新等工作都因電腦出問題而被卡住，終於大家都受不了了，決定要一起來面對。
所以至善基金會的智杰、開拓的我和阿昌，成了來自台北的協助小組。我們一早6:30從台北出發，帶著要給他們的二手筆記型電腦，開了二個多小時的車來到部落。請我們的資訊志工阿昌，先檢視一下所有的電腦，包括測試電壓和線路等。
其他伙伴則認真的坐下來，認真地討論：

阿昌看完電腦大概的問題後，也來加入。
整體檢視下來，大概有幾個基本的問題：
- 沒有做軟體更新；
- 沒有固定更新掃毒輸軟體；
- 沒有固定做磁碟重組；
- 資料管理缺乏系統；
- 沒有足夠的軟體；
問題是由大家一個個提出來檢視的，也討論如何處理：
- 每一台電腦有人做固定的維護；
- 資料管理分類、分工；
- 固定的更新軟體；
- 小心下載動作；
- 隨身碟、光碟要先掃毒；
- 學習如何重灌、分隔磁碟機、磁碟重組…
每個人都一步步練習操作，發現大家臉上的笑容越來越多，因為他們發現〞其實沒有那麼難〞。
這可真是充實的一天，大家都很投入在聽、在學著自己動手、在努力做筆記，還有兩位年輕的準大學生，一路陪著大家，以後可以當後援的小老師。
送了兩台二手的新思科技公司捐贈的手提電腦給工作站，雖然不是新的，做文書處理、上網瀏覽資料還是很好用的。
離開前，工作站送了我們今天現採的有機蔬菜呢，新鮮又漂亮的菜。

電腦換蔬菜，別的地方沒有哦^^ After the 921 earthquake(1999), with the help of outside resources, villagers here tried to build up a new supporting system for themselves.
They have farms and kitchen now, they planet vegetables and cook and eat together. Provide food services for tourists. They are on their way to self-supported.
We(Frontier Foundation) built the website for them 2005, and connected volunteers to help them to setup their computers. Yet, they have trouble in maintain and use from time to time.
This time, we decide to go and sit down with all of them to find out the real issues.
We went their, gathered all the staffs their, discussed all the troubles they had, and our IT volunteer examined the all system in the mean time.
After 2 hours discussion, we list all the trouble need to be solved.
1.5 hour to set the strategies for how to manage and maintain from now on.
Then all of them gathered around the computer to learn how to setup the OS, how to updated the antivirus system, how to… Practiced one step by step.
They were very concentrated in the learning. Lots smile faces when they found “it’s not that hard at all”. Now,they feel more confident and feel more connected with the computers.
We gave them two second hand Lap-tops before we left, so they can use that for presentation or documentations. They gave us some fresh organic vegetables they planet as gifts.
